3D Realms announced that Ion Fury: Aftershock release date is October 2, 0223.
The ridiculously small window between the announcement and the actual release date could possibly be some kind of marketing strategy but the fans will just be glad that the wait is over.
Aftershock was originally announced in March 2021 so the fans have been waiting for more than two and a half years for it.
Some of the highlights of the expansion include new weapons, maps and hoverbike sections that will probably get the blood pumping due to the high-octane action.
One of the selling points is the supposedly last showdown with Heskel, who has proven to be an elusive enemy thus far.
In any case, it seems like October 2023 will be a good month for the fans of boomer shooters as this is close as we will get to the old-school Duke Nukem games in the modern day.
Even though it is pixelated like the games of old, Ion Fury still features technological advancements that would probably have made out old PCs burst into flames.
Just remember that it was a huge deal when we finally got to move our crosshairs vertically as well.
