Amazon Game Studios launched New World in late September 2021 with fairly modest system requirements and it remained that way for about two years, until the first expansion arrived.
With the launch of Rise of the Angry Earth, the requirements went up significantly but they still don't involve high end components that would drain your wallet instantly.

Ironically, the list says you need 100 GB "Hard Drive" (HDD) space but the "Disk Read Speed" section pretty much mandates you install the game on a Solid State Drive (SSD) instead. If you want to meet the recommended specs, you should install it on an NVMe.
Other than that, the game already required better specs than previously listed while the new list includes neither brand-new nor expensive components, even for the recommended setup.
Therefore, you are more than likely to be good to go with the machine you've already been playing on.
