One of my most anticipated RPGs has finally gotten its first gameplay reveal, and I just can't believe how much The Blood of Dawnwalker is reminding me of CD Projekt Red's The Witcher series. And it's not just the most recent Witcher 3, I'm getting some serious Witcher 2 vibes here, thanks to the scope of the world and just overall game design.
Rebel Wolves decided to showcase just over 20 minutes of raw gameplay (which does include a lot of walking around to be honest), giving us a glimpse of combat, exploration and how the day and night cycle changes the game.
I know I'm about to repeat myself again, but everything is just so reminiscent of The Witcher, which isn't a bad thing at all for us The Witcher fans. The combat looks decent at the moment, but some animations will need a couple of tweaks to give the fights a smoother feeling overall.
One thing that left me quite impressed was the voice acting. The voice actors for the main protagonist and the monk we see in the church have done a fantastic job of delivering believable characters, and I hope we find similar VA quality throughout the rest of the game.

Visually, the game is not looking like a next-gen title, which is a shame but there's still plenty of time to optimise and improve the graphics before launch, so I hope Rebel Wolves put some time and resources into this segment to make their game look on par with other recent releases.
