The upcoming Battlefield game could feature a Battle Royale mode according to the info and concept art discovered in the alpha files of Battlefield Labs client.

New details have emerged about the next Battlefield game, which is currently in developement at DICE. This time, it's about the rumoured Battle Royale mode, thanks to a series of leaked concept artworks shared on X (formerly Twitter) by well-known leaker Temporyal

The images, reportedly from the pre-alpha BF Labs client, showcase a devastated (but colourful) urban environment, intense 4v4 combat and two soldiers hitting a jackpot while looting.

Check out the three leaked images below.

According to the updated description accompanying the leaks, the mode takes place “after a massive explosion devastates Fort Lyndon and its nearby beach town, the area is evacuated under threat of toxic fallout.”

It's obvious that the toxic fallout is a narrative idea for the mode's circle mechanic just like in many other battle royale games. The concept art of the city is intriguing though, especially its vibrant colours.

What We Know So Far

While DICE and EA have yet to officially confirm the existence of a new Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 6, this leak supports long-running rumors that the franchise is aiming to re-enter the genre following the underwhelming reception of Firestorm from Battlefield V.

The leaked content appears to be very early in development, and the “PH” labels suggest that names, locations, and other details may change before launch. That said, the narrative framing and environmental storytelling already indicate a more ambitious take on the format - possibly tying into Battlefield 6’s core campaign or multiplayer lore.

As always with pre-release leaks, it's important to treat these findings as work-in-progress material. Battlefield fans should keep expectations in check until official details are shared by EA or DICE.

Still, the prospect of a Battlefield battle royale set in a post-explosion evacuation zone filled with toxic fallout has already sparked excitement among fans eager for a fresh, high-stakes survival experience in the Frostbite engine.
