Rebel Wolves

Rebel Wolves is a Polish independent game developer based in Warsaw, founded in February 2022 by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, following his departure from CD Projekt Red. The founding team includes Konrad's brother Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz as creative director, Daniel Sadowski as design director, Jakub Szamalek as narrative director, and Bartłomiej Gaweł as art director, all of whom previously worked on The Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077

The studio grew rapidly from around 20 people at founding to 90 by May 2024, and reached 160 employees by April 2026. Rebel Wolves signed a publishing deal with Bandai Namco Entertainment in October 2024 for their action RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker.

The studio was built around a deliberate reaction to the difficulties experienced during Cyberpunk 2077's troubled development, with Konrad Tomaszkiewicz publicly stating that Rebel Wolves is structured to avoid the crunch and communication failures that affected that project.

Their debut game, The Blood of Dawnwalker, is an open-world dark fantasy action RPG set in 14th-century Europe, developed on Unreal Engine 5 and described as the first chapter in an original dark fantasy saga. The studio envisions the game as the starting point of a long-running franchise. The Blood of Dawnwalker launches 3 September 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
