Developer Rebel Wolves has provided some additional information on what players will (and won’t) find in The Blood of Dawnwalker. The open-world action RPG is set to release later this year, but players shouldn’t expect the game to feature any mini-games.
Thankfully for players that were hoping for something similar to The Witcher 3’s Gwent, Rebel Wolves explained that there are no mini-games inside Dawnwalker. This information was revealed when the developer answered some questions about the game from fans.
The publisher detailed there will be no mini-games in The Blood of Dawnwalker, disappointing those that wanted something similar to Gwent in the game.
Although players won’t be diving into mini-games, Rebel Wolves says there is still a lot to explore outside of the main story. Monster nests, ancient ruins, bandit camps, and hidden treasures await players looking to see everything the game’s world has to offer.
The studio was also questioned about secret quests in The Blood of Dawnwalker. Rebel Wolves dodged this question by saying that they should experience these surprises themselves if they want them to be surprised.
PC players will be happy to know that Denuvo won’t be present at launch. This isn’t confirmation for a lower spec, but there will be less software running in the background looking to stop piracy. Perhaps most excitingly, werewolves might make an appearance in The Blood of Dawnwalker.
If werewolves do show up in the game, players might get to witness an epic showdown between werewolves and vampires. On top of werewolves, players can look forward to hunting down dangerous beasts such as Pixies, Uriashi, and Kobolds.T
he Blood of Dawnwalker recently hit gold and will release on September 3 on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Players can expect a day-one patch, though the developers are also looking into free post-launch content.
