It looks like the fan-favourite villain from Far Cry 3, Vaas Montenegro, could make a comeback in the upcoming Far Cry 6. The key art for the game just leaked on PS Store, revealing what appears to be a younger Vaas.
Far Cry 6 key art and full description have leaked over at PlayStation Store and just like the earlier rumours suggested, Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito will play the main villain in the game, a man named Anton Castillo, dictator who is using his power to control the county with his son.
Now, here is where things get interesting and Far Cry 3 villain Vaas comes into the picture. As you can see in the comparison below, Anton's son Diego looks like a younger version of Vaas. He even has a scar on the eyebrow just like the fan-favourite madman.
Earlier this year, Breaking Bad star Michael Mando who plays Vaas in Far Cry 3 hinted over at Reddit that he could revisit his old role very soon. "Vaas is my spirit animal - having co-created that character is something that will always be dear to me," he wrote when asked about Vaas. "I still get recognized as Vaas, and I still feel the outpouring of love for that character - makes me very happy. Who knows... maybe I will reprise the role very soon?"
Is Mando trying to hint that he is indeed in the next Far Cry game but as a much younger Vaas? It is entirely possible and it does sound like a great story and a prequel for Far Cry 3. Whether this is indeed the case, it remains to be seen. Luckily, we will not have to wait for too long since Ubisoft Forward event is set for Sunday - July 12, 2020.
