Today, a leak from the PlayStation Store has revealed the full description of Far Cry 6, along with the key art for the game. Thanks to this info, we know that Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito will be the main villain while Far Cry 3 villain Vaas Montenegro could also return.
Shortly after the leak, Ubisoft have officially teased the game with a short video, which features the main villain, named Anton Castillo, a dictator who is using his power to control and oppress the country and its people.
It is a short teaser that ends with Ubisoft Forward date, which is set for Sunday, July 12, 2020, when Ubisoft will fully reveal the next Far Cry game.
As you may know, earlier rumours revealed that Far Cry 6 will return to the tropical island setting and will follow the story of drug cartels. Apparently, players will get to ride horses and use jetpacks to traverse the huge open world. You can find more details here.
Far Cry 6 will be a cross-gen title if the PlayStation Store info is accurate. It will launch on February 18, 2020 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. The game also supports free upgrade program or Smart Delivery on Xbox, which means you'll get PS5 and Xbox Series X for free if you purchase the game on current-gen.
