Conor McGregor Removed from Hitman DLC as Partnership Ends After Court Ruling

IO Interactive introduced Conor McGregor with their latest free starter pack on November 15, 2024. Appearing as the Disruptor, Conor McGregor is an elusive target player that players need to eliminate during the DLC mission.

After the recent court ruling finding Conor McGregor guilty of sexual assault, IO Interactive shared a statement on Twitter stating that, "In light of the recent court ruling regarding Conor McGregor, IO Interactive has made the decision to cease its collaboration with the athlete, effective immediately. We take this matter very seriously and cannot ignore its implications. Consequently, we will begin removing all content featuring Mr. McGregor from our shopfronts starting today."

IO Interactive has emphasised that they take issues like these very seriously, and they have taken down all trailers and promotions related to the Conor McGregor mission. Although new sales of the content will be terminated, players who have already purchased or own the pack will still have access to it.

Conor McGregor has shared his stance on his innocence as his legal team has made an appeal to overturn the court's decision. The court appeal process might drag on for the next few months; however, IO Interactive has made their stance clear by completely all forms of content signifying their partnership.
