Halo: Campaign Evolved early access will go live tomorrow, 23 July 2026, at 4:00 PM BST for anyone who pre-ordered the Digital Premium Edition or the physical Collector's Edition. The general launch follows on 28 July at the same time, with the early access window giving higher-tier buyers up to five days with the game ahead of everyone else.
The game is a complete Halo: Campaign Evolved PC requirements revealed, RTX 3080 Ti needed for 4K remake of Halo: Combat Evolved's original campaign, rebuilt from the ground up with new visuals, re-recorded voice acting, a remastered soundtrack, and an updated control scheme. It does not include competitive multiplayer, which remains in Halo Infinite. What it does include, beyond the original ten missions, is Halo: Campaign Evolved launches 28 July with a new mission arc, a brand new three-mission story arc set a year before the events of Combat Evolved, following Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson on a clandestine UNSC operation aboard a Covenant research vessel. METEORITE is included in every edition of the game. The remake also supports two-player local split-screen on console and, for the first time in Halo's history, up to four-player online co-op, including with PlayStation 5 players.
For Halo: Campaign Evolved and Hell is Us lead Xbox Game Pass Wave 2 for July, the standard game is included from 28 July at no additional cost. Early access requires either the Digital Premium Edition at $69.99 or the $20 Premium Edition Upgrade for existing Halo: Campaign Evolved and Hell is Us lead Xbox Game Pass Wave 2 for July. The Collector's Edition, which was priced at $199.99 and included physical memorabilia alongside the Premium digital content, sold out in June. Halo: Campaign Evolved is the first Halo game to release on a PlayStation platform and marks the franchise's return to a single, focused campaign experience after years of Infinite's live service focus.
