EA Sports has officially started the reveals for EA Sports FC 27, beginning with today’s cover reveal for this year’s Ultimate Edition. Predictably, the cover athlete is none other than Kylian Mbappe, who stars on the cover once again as EA Sports FC 27 promotion begins leading up to its reveal later this week.
EA’s announcement was posted on all official EA Sports social media pages. The logo itself has also been swapped out with EA Sports FC 27 branding. On July 23, fans can expect a full gameplay reveal to see the first official gameplay of this year’s iteration.
Mbappe has been the subject of rumours for months now from trustworthy leaks. Rumours that he would return to the cover have been swirling for months as well, so this piece of the puzzle is solved. However, much of what we will learn about the game is still likely to be divulged on Thursday.
Recent leaks also revealed what we believe to be the official release date for EA Sports FC 27. Set for September 25, players who buy the Ultimate Edition should also receive early access to the game starting on September 18.
However, we will have to wait for EA to confirm this themselves. Perhaps the biggest rumor surrounds a new open-world game mode. Details are scarce, but players should expect some sort of social space to explore and connect with other players online. Players will be able to customize their avatar and participate in activities outside of matches.
As has been the case with several rumors, EA has yet to confirm this.We should learn more about everything EA Sports FC 27 has to offer during the July 23 showcase.
Whether it be gameplay enhancements and revisions, or what we can expect from large game modes such as Career Mode and Ultimate Team, there should be a lot to discuss this summer.
