Ghost Recon Breakpoint is getting a loaded new operation, codenamed Motherland. Set on the island of Aurora, the new operation will bring some new mechanics to the game.

Ubisoft is returning to Ghost Recon Breakpoint after the less-than-stellar reception of the Ghost Recon: Frontline Battle Royale game. The latest project for the shooter is Operation Motherland which will take place on Aurora.

Conquest Mode in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Conquest Mode is a new alternative mode to the game's traditional story mode, this time with an accent on player actions and their consequences. There will be a bunch of missions to choose from, and you'll be able to destroy objectives, secure enemy camps, boost vehicles and pick which of the four Bodark Lieutenants you want to save and which of them will be eliminated.

The final goal is to free Aurora from the Bodarks, with the help of the Outcasts and Karen Bowman.

The Bodarks

The five Bodark enemy archetypes will pop up all over the map, in encampments as well as in the wild.

  1. Tactician enemies will call for backup unless eliminated quickly.
  2. The armoured Oppressors will rush players.
  3. Dreadnoughts will use rocket launchers.
  4. Seekers will use rifles and optical camouflage.
  5. Troopers will serve as the bulk of the Bodark forces.

Each type will also have equipment based on the biome they are currently terrorising.

The atmosphere on Aurora

Get ready to see some changes on the Island. The weather will vary based on region and there are new atmospheres planned, specific to five separate zones.

Operation Motherland will launch on November 2.
