Ubisoft announced the date of the arrival of AI teammates in Ghost Recon Points, two years after the game's release.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is getting AI teammates on May 25, 2021. Considering that Ghost Recon games were always about squad play, the decision not to include them back in 2019 when Breakpoint was released rubbed the fans the wrong way but then again, so did most of other things in the game.

Anyway, update 4.0.0 should be another one in the line of fixes so those who decided to go with it and get the game anyway will have a better time with it than the initial build offered.

You will be able to level up the AI teammates which will give them tactical upgrades and better combat efficiency. The levelling will be done through Team Level and you will progress it by playing with AI teammates or completing Teammate Challenges. Their experience bar will be shown at the top of the screen where you can also find Nomad's level gauge.

There will be three new active abilities per teammate that include Piercing Shot, Scan and Combat Drone. Furthermore, Extra Revival and Fragmentation Grenades will be the abilities shared across teammates. To wrap it up, there are the passive abilities that increase damage and resilience of your AI teammates.

Update 4.0.0 will introduce plenty of other changes too and you can check them along with future changes in the GR: Breakpoint roadmap Ubisoft released previously.
