Fortnite's Impostor game mode is now live. The new mode will see groups of 10 max players go about their tasks and try to figure out who among them is an impostor.
There's a new game mode now live in Fortnite and you may find it somewhat familiar. The Among Us -inspired mode is set on The Bridge and accommodates 10 players: eight hard-working Agents and two Impostors trying their darndest to take it over.
Fortnite Impostors mode - Agents
Agents of the Imagined Order have one job: keep the machine that is The Bridge well-oiled. That's why they are paid the big bucks. the Agents' assignments range from calibrating chests and llamas and repairing the Battle Bus to delivering Storm reports for analysis.
Agents of IO will need to carry their assignments out quickly, while always keeping an eye out for anything suspicious - like a dead crewmember. Finding a friend's remains will kick off a series of events: reporting it will teleport everyone to The Bridge where you can cast your votes on who you think threw a wrench in the operation.
Completing all assignments or voting out the right players will result in a victory for the Agents.
Fortnite Impostors mode - Impostors
Impostors have the option to complete the tasks and earn the crew's trust, but that will get the other team closer to victory. Unbound by morality, the Impostors can resort to all manner of less than savoury actions to get across that finish line first:
- Disable Assignments - Temporarily freeze progress on all Assignments.
- Teleport Players - Relocate all Agents and Impostors to somewhere else on The Bridge.
- Peely Party - For a short time, all Agents and Impostors look like Peely.
Fortnite Impostors mode - queue and comms
Players can queue up with any party size. If there are slots to fill out you and your group will meet some new friends. There's also a "Private" option. Fortnite's public voice chat is disabled in this mode and everyone can talk to each other using the party chat.
