After the release of Operation Deadly Omen back in March, Rainbow Six: Siege just started their Y9S2 with Operation New Blood. This season introduces a Recruit remaster, introducing two new Operators: Striker for attack and Sentry for defence.
While the Recruit lacks unique gadgets, they can carry two different secondary gadgets, opening up the potential for varied and dynamic gameplay combinations. Additionally, Ubisoft made updates for Versus AI, adjustments to map filters, Stadium improvements, and more.

Here are all the highlights:
Gameplay Fixes
- Aiming down sight is no longer canceled when opening the scoreboard.
- The Reflex C reticle is now centered correctly on the Bearing 9.
- Player's movement speed returns to normal after reloading while aiming down sight.
- Players can no longer eliminate more targets than required in Target Drill on the Kafe Dostoyevsky map.
- Claymores no longer reappear after being destroyed by Electrified Barbed wire.
Level Design Fixes
- Drones can no longer be hidden in the floor at 2F Elevator Shaft on the Bank map.
- Players can no longer navigate on top of invisible collision at EXT Docks Bridge on the Kanal map.
- Flickering textures near ledges and on certain objects after destroying barricades with Vulkan executable have been fixed.
- Grey carpets are now easier to destroy in specific areas on the Kafe Dostoyevsky and House maps.
Operator Changes:
- Ram's BU-GI Auto Breacher can no longer be used to reach unintended areas.
- Smoke Screen no longer becomes bulletproof when using Sens' R.O.U. Projector System.
- Flores' RCE-Ratero Charge maintains connection properly even if eliminations are displayed while using the drone.
