Playground Games have finally revealed the first in-game footage of their open-world action RPG Fable, after three years of radio silence and it's safe to say that the Xbox community is blown away by the visual fidelity presented in the trailer to the point that many can't quite believe they are looking at the actual game.
Many are even adamant that the footage is just more CGI but this was already debunked by Playground Games developers who are basically doing their best to make people believe that they are indeed making a game that looks that good.
Fable's Lead Lighting Artist Lukas Koelz tweeted that the trailer was captured entirely on the Xbox Series X console and the fact that people still can't believe this is the actual game is the best compliment for the Fable artists.
"People not believing this is 'real' or that the game will look like this is one of the best compliments," Koelz tweeted.
We guess we're coming to that point in this next-gen game development where the teams are really starting to utilise the full power of consoles and it really shows. Obviously, Playground Games are no stranger to stunning games with Forza Horizon 5 being the latest eye candy but it really looks like they are raising the bar for Fable.
The game's magical setting will also help as it allows developers to fully unleash their creativity and build an incredible playground for all Fable fans.
Obviously, we cannot wait to see more of Fable, which still should be a couple of years away from its release. The game is coming to PC and Xbox Series X|S. It's also launching day one on Xbox Game Pass.
