The newest edition of the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine has revealed that two characters from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure will be joining the roster of Jump Force. Dio Brando and Jotaro Kujo will both be fully playable in the full game.
After Dai from Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, Bandai Namco have ofifically teased the addition of Jotaro Kujo from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure to Jump Force's roster. This character was teased during the publisher's latest Jump Force livestream via a clever "To Be Continued" message, hinting at a new JoJo character.
The roster of Jump Force is made up entirely of characters from Weekly Shōnen Jump - a best-selling anime and manga magazine in Japan owned by Shueisha. It belongs to a line of magazines called Jump, and Weekly Shōnen Jump is the one that consists of all the anime and manga series that are quite popular worldwide as well. Therefore, it is logical that Jump Force's roster will be based around this specific magazine.
Now, as its name suggests, Weekly Shōnen Jump is published every week in Japan, and with Jump Force coming out in about two weeks from now, almost every issue of the magazine has been filled with new characters joining the game's roster. And this week is particularly interesting as it's revealed two new faces that fans have been dying to see.
Namely, thanks to a WSJ scan on the game's official , it has been revealed that two characters from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Dio Brando and Jotaro Kujo, will be joining the game. The news of Jotaro's addition doesn't come as a surprise of course, as we have already reported on his previous and , but Dio Brando is a fighter whose name was only mentioned in the comments section of Bandai Namco's social media profiles.
Dio Brando is the antagonist in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, and apart from his vampiric powers, his signature ability is to briefly stop time. He will be joining the lineup of villains in , as opposed to his counterpart Jotaro Kujo who will be fighting on the good guys' side in the game.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and its representatives are something fans have been requesting ever since Jump Force was announced, and their wish has finally come true. Now it's time for Bandai Namco to announce new gameplay trailers featuring these two fighters so we can see their time-stopping moves in action.
