Bungie revealed the upcoming changes to the Destiny 2 sandbox with buffs to some of the fan-favourites spearheading the highlight reel.
Whisper of the Worm is the hard-hitting Heavy sniper rifle that currently doesn't pack the punch it once did and the waiting time for the buffs is over. Come December 7, it will have the delay on the catalyst proc reduced from 2.1 to 1.2 seconds, which allows it to soar through the ranks on the DPS ladder.
That's not all, however, as the weapon will generally use less ammo thanks to the White Nail intrinsic perk buff. It will no longer just reload three bullets automatically. Instead, it will load two bullets from the reserves and spawn one out of thin air. Still not enough? It will also deal 10 per cent more damage in PvE, making the oversized weapon once again a force to be reckoned with.
DARCI will also hit harder in PvE thanks to a 20 per cent damage boost but its perks will also be more reliant. The gun will no longer lose bonus damage immediately after moving off target, giving players one second to get their sights lined up again before it happens. Flinch, recoil and accuracy degradation are all halved while the Personal Assistant is active.
To round up the precision weapon buff highlights, Arbalest will now have Anti-Barrier mod integrated, giving the shield-busting weapon even more capacity for doing what it does best.
