Shadowkeep is approaching and with it, the new activity called Vex Offensive. It will feature some fancy new content, but it will not be available to everyone. While not entirely confirmed, VO will most likely take place in Black Garden.

Destiny 2's recently announced Season Pass will have many benefits and it will kick off with the Season of the Undying. Just like the season's name suggests, players will be battling Vex (the Undying) and the Vex Offensive activity will kick off after a Vex gate opens up.

There is quite a bit of content that is exclusive to the battle pass here, and we are talking about gear that could possibly give players an advantage over those who don't have it although this is not as bad as it sounds.

For starters, only the Season Pass holders will get access to the Vex Offensive activity that will almost certainly take place in the Black Garden. Not much is known about it, except that we will fight Bungie's version of the Terminators and that the activity will have exclusive rewards.

There will be four legendary weapon drops, weekly and daily bonuses as well as challenges with powerful rewards. Bungie didn't specify what these powerful rewards will be but the wording certainly implies they will have some effect on the gameplay.

Sounds ominous but before we pick up the pitchforks meant for stabbing the pay-to-win practices, let's take a look at Bungie's business model.

They are shifting to the battle pass model that was popularized by Fortnite, with the same price of $10 per pass. The key difference here is that players will be getting the usual seasonal content, on top of the unlock track. Furthermore, gone are the days of Annual passes in Destiny 2, since players can opt-in for each season independently.

Each season will last for three months, after which the rotating activity will become unavailable and the items from it will apparently go to the vault. The items will not be permanently unavailable from that point on, since they will come out of the vault periodically.

To make the deal sweeter, Bungie are including the first season in the Shadowkeep purchase so the expansion will automatically grant the players access to Season of the Undying pass and by extention Vex Offensive.
