Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that its monthly State of Play showcase is returning next Tuesday, June 2. The next State of Play will be over one hour in length and contain new announcements, previews, and gameplay trailers for next-gen PS5 games from developers across the globe.
Sony teased the return of Marvel’s Wolverine as part of the opening segment of next Tuesday’s State of Play. Fans will receive another peek at Insomniac Games’ hotly anticipated superhero game as Sony teases new gameplay that focuses on Logan’s brutal approach to combat.
Additional gameplay information from Marvel’s Wolverine will also be revealed during next week’s presentation. Marvel’s Wolverine is launching exclusively for PS5 on September 15. Wolverine will be Insomniac’s next big entry in its long-running Marvel partnership after Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Other than Marvel’s Wolverine, Sony has yet to confirm what other games will receive new announcements or gameplay debuts as part of next week’s State of Play presentation.
However, fans are excited to see what games could potentially appear in the upcoming PlayStation showcase. Possible features that fans are expecting to see include multiple announcements and game reveals from both first-party and third-party developer. There will be Japanese subtitles available for the June 2 broadcast.
The June 2 State of Play will livestream on YouTube and Twitch starting at 2: 00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET / 11:00 PM CEST.
Summer showcase season is right around the corner and this State of Play is sure to be one of PlayStation’s biggest of the year with Marvel’s Wolverine making a return.
