Helldivers 2 is getting an official Warhammer 40k crossover. Arrowhead Game Studios introduced a new Legendary Warbond during their Warhammer Skulls 2026 presentation.
The reveal was a short one, but fans were quickly captivated by the possibilities from the classic Warhammer aesthetic for armor loadouts, weapons, and cosmetics inspired by Space Marines. Arrowhead confirmed that more information will be released in the coming weeks. For now, no release date has been announced.
The Warhammer 40k Legendary Warbond is the latest in line from other properties like Killzone and Halo 3: ODST. Legendary Warbonds are similar to your standard Premium Warbonds but cost 1,500 Super Credits instead of 1,000.
Space Marine Armour and Iconic Weapons Expected
While Arrowhead hasn’t confirmed any of the cosmetics included in the crossover event yet, speculation already abound over which Space Marine Chapters will be featured.
The Ultramarines are a likely pick, but Blood Angels and Space Wolves are also popular amongst fans.Weapons of the Warhammer universe also feel like a near certainty for the crossover.
Players are itching to see staples such as the Boltgun and Chainsword make it into Helldivers 2 alongside Warhammer-themed armour, capes, emotes, and even ship customisation options.
Helldivers 2 Upgrades
Away from the crossover event, Helldivers 2 is getting consistent major tech upgrades. Arrowhead just announced that its next update on May 27 will introduce support for AMD FSR, DLSS 4.5, XeSS 3.0, and also PS5 Pro players can expect a new PSSR implementation.
Studio is also cooking up large scale Galactic War campaigns, better progression systems, and more long-term content updates for the game.
