Destiny 2 will rebalance a few things in its economy when Season 22 hits, including the way one of the Exotics is obtained and caps for crafting and masterworking.

Destiny 2 players have been complaining about the low material caps for crafting and masterworking for a while now and Bungie is finally looking to oblige in Season 22.

On top of that, Dead Man's Tale Exotic scout rifle will no longer be in Xur's inventory but it will be available through Exotic mission rotator when Presage is available.

Additionally, you will be able to craft the weapon so the FOMO effect will probably not be that strong if you don't play Presage when it pops up.

Speaking of crafting, it will be easier with the new caps for Ascendant Alloys, especially when you are trying to get those enhanced perks. The new caps are as follows:

  • Ascendant Shard:
    • Old cap: 10
    • New cap: 30
  • Ascendant Alloy:
    • Old cap: 10
    • New cap: 30
  • Enhancement Prism:
    • Old cap: 50
    • New cap: 100

That said, you will still need to grind your heart out to farm the materials but at least you won't be pressured to spend them immediately so you don't waste potential future drops.

The latest TWID didn't mention whether you will be required to have the associated expansion to play Presage and craft Dead Man's Tale or whether having the Season of the Chosen pass will suffice.
