Severed Steel demo appeared on a Steam Next Fest a few years ago and left me breathless. It was clear the game would be amazing even with just that one slice of gameplay but it doesn't appear to have gained any major traction thus far.
During the years, it was released on Epic Games Store and from July 27 to August 3, 2023, it will be free to claim.
Considering the high praise it got in both early access and full release, you may do well to try this one out.
If you are wondering what the game is about, it is a first-person shooter where it doesn't take enemies long to kill you. In order to avoid death, you will need to employ wall running, sliding, flips and plethora of other breakneck stunts to successfully duke it out with hordes of soldiers.
The game features some highly interesting mechanics like sliding next to an enemy to pull the gun out of their holster and then shoot them with it. Perhaps you might run out of bullets just as you kill a soldier so you better watch for that gun of his that is currently mid-air because you can grab it immediately and continue firing.
In essence, it is an adrenaline-fueled romp that will test your skills as a shooter and a possible Olympic gymnast, all in high octane fashion.
