The single most unique non-Exotic hand cannon in Destiny 2 is getting an overhaul in hopes that it will become more useful to the Guardians next season.

Bungie went back to search for an exciting new reward for the next season's Nightfalls in Destiny 2 and landed on Warden's Law, the only hand cannon that shoots two projectiles at once.

However, it is for this reason that the gun proved unreliable in the past but the team prepared a few changes to make it more desirable for the players.

Besides the new perks and perk combos, the two-projectile functionality will get some updates.

Bungie initially wanted to make it shoot bursts like a pulse rifle but the idea fell through when they figured out it would just be a non-Exotic Crimson, which would take away from that weapon's uniqueness.

In the end, they came back to the dual-projectile solution but altered the way each projectile would go. As such, the projectiles would be more reliable at shorter ranges, landing more often in the body part you are aiming at.

Additionally, the weapon will be able to two-tap a Guardian as it will deal 45 damage to the head and 25 to the body. However, you will need to land all four projectiles from the two shots in order to score a kill. Otherwise, it will just be a three-hit kill like any other 120 RPM hand cannon.

In short, Warden's Law will feel more reliable and it should prove to be an exciting new reward to hunt for when the Nightfalls get the loot shuffle.
