Stasis was once the scourge of Destiny 2 PvP which prompted a series of nerfs but Bungie deemed it may have fallen into obscurity with the subsequent releases of Light 3.0 subclasses, as well as Strand.
Therefore, the subclass will receive a set of buffs for each class once Season of the Deep goes live on May 23, 2023.
All the changes are primarily aimed at PvP balance so PvE players will largely be unaffected.
For Hunters, Withering Blade will have better tracking after bouncing as its search range against players will be increased by 20 per cent. Additionally, the tracking strength will be increased by 12.5 per cent, meaning Stasis Hunters will be hitting their melee much more often. Trying to duck them behind a corner will likely stop being a viable option.
Meanwhile, in the Titan camp, Shiver Strike will have a 16 per cent increased maximum thrust in the air while the gravity will pull it down slower - by 18 per cent to be exact. In other words, Titans using the powered melee for movement will travel further.
Howl of the Storm freezing cone will be increased by 31 per cent against players.
Finally, the Warlocks will have an additional two meters of range on the melee lunge after activating Frostpulse. The buff will last for 1.2 seconds which should be plenty of time to hit a finishing melee strike.
