Night City Wire #4 mostly focused on the cars of Cyberpunk 2077 but it also briefly explained the tastes and styles of Night City's inhabitants.

Styles in Cyberpunk 2077 will play an important part and players will be able to easily distinguish the type of person they are talking to, based on the appearance of their cars, clothes, implants and even guns. The four main styles in Night City are Kitsch, Entropism, Neomilitarism and Neokitsch.

Kitsch style adheres to the "Style over substance" motto. Essentially, those who practice this style in their daily lives are trying to get the shiniest fashion pieces that include neon hair, illuminated tattoos and fashion chrome. If you are comparing these to something in the modern-day, ricers who put oversized exhausts on their Civics are the closest to an equivalent.

Entropism is the polar opposite of Kitsch, with "necessity over style" motto. These are the people who didn't have much in the wake of corporate wars and are just trying to get by. Their appearance is not flashy by any stretch of the imagination but their gadgets and implants are definitely functional.

Neomilitarism is the elegant corpo fashion with "substance over style" motto. Despite style not being at the top of their priority list, the sleek suits they wear are easy on the eyes.

Neokitsch's motto is "style and substance" which basically translates to rich kids wanting best of all worlds. They stepped away from Neomilitarism in order to go back to Kitsch's flashy roots but the style also provides enough substance to stand out in all fields.
