Metro has been one hot topic in Cyberpunk 2077 community but now it looks like the devs will not add it as a feature after all.
CD Projekt Red committed many sins in regard to what was promised and what was delivered with Cyberpunk 2077 , with the lack of wall climbing and the metro system being some of the highlights.
In the case of the metro, there were some rumours recently that suggested the system would be added with the Phantom Liberty DLC but those hopes were short-lived as CDPR's global community lead shot the rumours down.
Namely, the fans were hoping to see the metro after a translation from a Czech source seemingly confirmed it.
With Marcin Momot's statement on Twitter , however, it became clear that the rumour has no foundation and the devs will not be adding such a system as there are no plans to add it at any point in time.
Some fans were disheartened to hear it, especially because a modder managed to restore the metro in an unofficial capacity, which begs the question - why was it so hard for a huge developer team to add it if a single individual with a loosely connected small team can do it on their own time?
Some hope remains with the fans who noted that The Witcher 3 next-gen update incorporated some of the mods the community released over the years so it's technically not excluded an official metro system will one day arrive in CP2077 as well.
