CD Projekt Red stunned just about everyone when they replied to a seemingly random tweet from Lady Gaga but now it appears this was a teaser for her future appearance in Cyberpunk 2077. There is still no release date in sight though.
Lady Gaga's fans were probably confused when she posted a seemingly random tweet with unintelligible letters that didn't even constitute proper words, all the way back in 2012. Now it turns out this could have been an elaborate marketing ploy between her and CD Projekt Red as the tweet happened mere two months before Cyberpunk 2077's original teaser trailer aired.
The company to this tweet through Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account almost six years later, on 18 September 2018, when they apparently agreed to something, both hinting the 2012 tweet was a code of sorts and at the collaboration between the developer and Lady Gaga.
Actu Gaming, a French gaming website, added fuel to the speculation fire when they that Lady Gaga was in CD Projekt Red's offices recently but the exact nature of her visit was unclear. According to Actu Gaming's sources, she could have been there to perform motion capture, hinting that a character with the singer's likeness may appear in Cyberpunk 2077.
This will potentially be another layer of immersion CD Projekt Red are working on for Cyberpunk 2077 as they have repeatedly stated music will play a big part in the players' Night City adventures.
The fact the rumours about a collaboration with a high profile celebrity started appearing just about the same time CD Projekt Red started teasing a new reveal hint that they may be attempting to push the hype train to its full speed.

If this turns out to be the case, we could potentially see a release date at some point in a not-so-distant future. On the other hand, this is mostly speculation for the moment so we would normally suggest you hold your horses but some of AltChar's own are loose.
