Crimson Desert is now available, but like many large-scale titles, it isn’t perfect at launch. Pearl Abyss has provided a rundown of technical issues players will encounter at launch affecting gameplay, optimisation and more.
Developer Pearl Abyss acknowledged they’re looking into reported issues, and urging players to keep submitting them if encountered.
Crimson Desert's Currently Known Issues
The following issues are known to occur in Crimson Desert. Pearl Abyss is aware of these problems and resolving them.
- Players can see into the Abyss from the overworld under specific circumstances. This can cause minor framerate dips.
- Completing or quitting out of the Ultimate Weapon fight during “Deferred Advance” when Blackstar’s Health is active will cause Blackstar’s Health to not respawn fully.
- Stealing fruit located at the rear of stalls will cause the character to lock up and stop responding to player inputs.
- Players can clip through trees when taking damage.
- Players can get stuck on trees they are currently grabbing.
- While fighting Gregor, the Halberd of Carnage boss players will be unable to revive or continue if there are objects around them that die at the same time as them.
- In some cases settings will not save after loading them.
- Objective tracking does not automatically pop up while you are going through some quests.
- FSR4 Upscaling - Raindrops will disappear when it's raining, or players may experience screen blur/distortion when playing in rainy areas.
Maintenance and Support
Pearl Abyss have promised players that they are being addressed. Fixes are being worked on, and players are encouraged to report any bugs that may not have been listed.
Early problems are nothing new for massive open-world games, but prompt patches will be important for keeping Crimson Desert’s successful launch going.
