Publisher and developer Pearl Abyss has detailed Crimson Desert's pre-load availability and official worldwide release date in preparation for the title launching next week.
The action open-world adventure's early access pre-order customers will be allowed to pre-load the game before anyone else. Crimson Desert will launch worldwide on the same day for every region at the same time.
Crimson Desert Pre-Load Date
Pre-orders for Crimson Desert will be able to pre-load 48 hours before launch. Note that the pre-load times will vary slightly by region:
- March 17 – Americas
- March 18 – Europe / Rest of World
Getting access to the pre-load early will let you install Crimson Desert before launch. You’ll be able to play immediately after the servers open.
Global Launch Time
This game is launching worldwide at the exact same time. So no matter where you live, these are the launch times for Crimson Desert:
- 03:00PM PDT – March 19
That means these are the local times for each region:
- 06:00PM EST – New York
- 10:00PM GMT – London
- 07:00AM JST – March 20 – Tokyo
Regions that are far-away from PDT will unfortunately have to wait until the morning hours to dive into Crimson Desert.

- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X/S
- PC (Steam / Microsoft Store)
About Crimson Desert
Crimson Desert was teased as a Black Desert prequel but then morphed into its own thing. Rather than an MMO, Crimson Desert is a single-player action-adventure.
You play as Kliff, one of the Greymane mercenaries. When Kliff’s team is attacked by the Black Bears, he gets separated from the group and must trek across Pywel. During his adventure, he becomes dragged into the conflict of the land and discovers the secrets of the Abyss and its ancient technology.
