Crimson Desert remains on my list of most anticipated games despite the constant delays. I believe that this RPG from Pearl Abyss will be well worth the wait so I'm still patient but I do hope that this recent delay to Late 2025 is the final one.
One would think that the game being almost a year away would mean the dev team are now working at full capacity, trying to optimise the game and squeeze every bit of power from the current consoles and PCs but interestingly, Pearl Abyss have already listed the PC specs for the game, suggesting that they already have a pretty good idea where Crimson Desert lands in terms of optimisation.
If you take a look at the game's Steam page, Pearl Abyss have added both minimum and recommended specs, confirming that Crimson Desert will be a 100GB+ game and will run on some very old GPUs like RTX 2080 or RX 6700 XT.

I have to say that these specs seem very unrealistic for anything above 1080p. Usually, specs on Steam are aimed at 1080p resolution at 60 FPS and the hardware above does seem very reasonable for such a setup.
For higher resolutions and graphical settings like 4K and Ultra, I bet you'll need at least RTX 4070 or RTX 4080. Also, from the various trailers and gameplay footage, it does look like the game is using ray-tracing so that's another thing to consider.
We'll probably get a more detailed PC specs sheet sometime closer to the release date when Pearl Abyss will hopefully give us a full breakdown of PC-exclusive features too.
Crimson Desert is currently targeting a Late 2025 release date. It's coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
