Ever since Pearl Abyss first reveled their next big thing - Crimson Desert - I was in ave of the game's visuals and scope. At times, I even wondered if Crimson Desert is too good to be true, especially after all those delays but recently, I'm once again on the hype train for this one since Pearl Abyss provided some new footage that makes the game look better than ever.
In the new extended gameplay, which was uploaded exclusively by IGN, we got to see more of the game's stunning world, big cities, sprawling meadows and big rocky mountains.
The footage also showcased some of the quests, random encounters and of course, combat. Crimson Desert does look fairly impressive in this new footage but you'll notice some annoyances too, like the sound of the main character's footsteps which stayed the same regardless of the surface he threaded on.
One thing that this new gameplay footage does not tell us is the release date. No, Pearl Abyss didn't add that long-awaited bit of information at the end of this video so we're still waiting to hear when exactly we'll get to play this exciting new title.
Some rumours suggest that Pearl Abyss are preparing a release date trailer for the upcoming Game Awards show, which is set to air in a couple of months. However, take that with a grain of salt as nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
All in all, it's certainly great to see that Crimson Desert is shaping up quite nicely and I genuinely can't wait to start playing it, hopefully sometime in 2025.
