In the sea of information about the new projects from CD Projekt Red we've been receiving recently, mostly about the advanced development of Cyberpunk 2, the DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and, of course, The Witcher 4 and their plans to make it a trilogy, out of nowhere popped up the information about a card game based on the Cyberpunk universe, Cyberpunk TCG.
On the official CD Projekt Red X account, the announcement of Cyberpunk TCG came out of nowhere and made all the card game fans very happy, especially the ones that are in love with the Cyberpunk universe and their anime adaptation, Edgerunners.
What kind of card game is Cyberpunk TCG?
In essence, Cyberpunk TCG is a physical-only trading card game in which you'll be able to collect cards with your beloved characters from the Cyberpunk universe.
Here, players will build their ultimate edgerunner squad by collecting iconic characters from across the franchise and challenging their friends in strategic battles. Each card features stunning custom artwork, highlighting fan-favourite personalities from both Cyberpunk 2077 and the anime series Edgerunners.
All the information about the new Cyberpunk TCG is revealed through a small trailer announced on the CD Projekt Red X account you can see in the link shown below.
What do we know about the game so far?
According to the trailer, players will be able to organise cards and divide them into several categories. First are the Unit cards, featuring groups such as Psycho Squad, Offduty Malfini, and Swordwise Huscle. These are followed by the Chrome cards, showcasing iconic cyberware like Mantis Blades, Kiroshi Optics, and the Mandibular Upgrade.
Finally, the trailer highlights the character cards, representing some of the franchise’s most memorable characters. Among the reveals are Panam Palmer, Jackie Welles, Judy Alvarez, Goro Takemura, V, and Adam Smasher.
When can we expect Cyberpunk TCG on the market?
Cyberpunk TCG is expected to come to Kickstarter in 2026 (no precise date is provided). WeirdCo is the company that will work on the card set's production, of course, in collaboration with CD Projekt Red. For all interested players, the game's official site offers the option to sign up for free, and if you want to do it right now, you'll get the exclusive Lucy card completely for free.
