The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 developer have revealed the roadmap of their long-term project, confirming two new The Witcher games, a brand new IP named Hadar and Cyberpunk 2077 sequel codenamed Orion.

CD Projekt Red today shared more news on their long-term strategy, which includes a bunch of new games, including two new The Witcher projects, a new The Witcher trilogy, a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 and to everyone's surprise, a brand new IP codenamed Hadar.

The company say that the first three new releases will be Witcher games as the pre-production has already started on two of them - Project Sirius by the recently acquired studio Molasses Flood and Project Polaris, which is the next instalment in the new The Witcher trilogy, that was announced by CD Projekt Red recently.

Project Sirius will feature multiplayer and will be targeting "broader audience" while Polaris is a huge single-player Witcher experience that players expect from CD Projekt Red.

Furthermore, Canis Majoris is another Witcher project, developed by an external studio. This one is built using Unreal Engine 5 and the toolset that CD Projekt Red created for the Project Polaris.

That's plenty of games but CD Projekt Red have even more in the pipeline. The studio have also started planning a full sequel for Cyberpunk 2077 which will take "the further and continue harnessing the potential of this dark future universe."

Last but not least, Hadar is a codename for a third, entirely distinct IP, created from scratch within CD Projekt Red. The project is in the earliest stages of the creative process, which means the game is not yet in development as the devs are working exclusively on the foundation for this new setting.

Sadly, we didn't get any updates on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition. CD Projekt only reiterated that the update is coming in 2022 and that's about it.

So overall, a pretty impressive reveal for CD Projekt Red who seem pretty confident in their future output and franchise. As a huge fan of The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077, I cannot wait to see and hear more about all these projects.
