Stunning pixel-graphics title Replaced is finally arriving. Sad Cat Studios confirmed the cyberpunk 2.5D platformer launches March 12, 2026, on PC, Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass, ending nearly five years of uncertainty following multiple delays since the game's initial 2021 Xbox showcase announcement.

The new release date trailer showcases the game's atmospheric environments - from the depths of dirty and gray sewers to stunning forests and abandoned factories. Visually, it's truly gorgeous, especially the smooth animations, which are half of the appeal, at least for me.

The dystopian setting emphasises corruption, organ trafficking, and societal collapse - standard cyberpunk dystopia beats blended with retro-futuristic aesthetics.
Gameplay mixes cinematic platforming with "free-flow action combat". The 2.5D perspective uses pixel art styling with 3D environmental depth, creating that trendy modern-retro visual approach popular amongst indie action games.
Xbox console exclusive with Game Pass
