Next-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have been delayed into 2022. CD Projekt Red recently announced the news citing "additional time" is needed for both projects.

CD Projekt Red just dropped a huge bombshell regarding the release dates for the next-gen versions of their tentpole franchises: Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The powers that be have decided that both projects need more time in the oven before they are presented to the world. As it stands right now, the release date for the next-gen edition of Cyberpunk 2077 has been moved back to the first quarter of 2022.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's next-gen version was also delayed. Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 owners can look forward to playing as Geralt in the second quarter of 2022.
