Borderlands 3 had a trio of announcements on May 21, as the game is getting a new takedown, a brand new DLC named Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption and an apparent teaser for Krieg's return.
Takedown at the Guardian Breach has been promised to be another "extreme challenge that scales to the number of players in your party" so it's technically soloable and enemies will get spongier the more people you take with you. It is the second option that the activity was made for though as Gearbox specified that it "is meant to push a full party of four Vault Hunters to the limit".
It's not going to be all about hard-hitting bullet sponges though as some new puzzles and low-gravity platforming sections will be added as a test of wits and mechanics. Players will go to Minos Prime in order to fight some rogue Guardians along with a miniboss and a final boss encounter. There will be new and themed loot for those who persist through the ordeal.
Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption is a western-themed DLC that is coming to Borderlands 3. Continuing the tradition of the previous two DLCs, its name is also a mouthful. Other than that, there shouldn't be much common ground between the packs.
Players will go to the desert planned of Gehenna in order to claim the bounty on The Devil Riders, a gang of bandits that make a habit of mounting the wildlife. While not attempting to ride the beasts, they terrorise the town of Vestige. Vault Hunters will offer help to the townsfolk and that's where the fireworks begin.
There are new faces to meet, such as Rose who is picture above. Besides the thorn visuals, she is proficient in using revolvers and katana so she sounds like a fun person to be around, unlike Ava. It will be all narrated by an unseen voice, which kind of gives us Nick Offerman vibes .
Last but not least, Krieg seems to be making a return to the series. At least it looks a lot like him. Whoever the features psycho turns out to be, he will be a part of the fourth campaign add-on. If it's indeed our favourite Psycho, it will be interesting to see how he deals with a personal loss.
You can preview the Psycho art on the official announcement page.
