Blizzard revealed the date and more details about the online version of BlizzCon which will be held the next year, following the Covid-19 complication in 2020.
Blizzconline will happen on February 19 and 20, 2021. In other words, there were 151 days from the announcement to the day of the event kicking off. As per usual, the convention will see reveals about the upcoming games from the developers along with other exhibitions.
In their own words, Blizzard folks still have a lot of planning to do which is why the initial announcement may be scarce on some details but they will be made available as the organisers figure them out.
That said, one of the planned events is the community showcase where cosplay crafters, artists and other content creators will be able to participate and show their talents. Since the event will be held online, the invite will be extended to people all over the world. On top of that, March of the Murlocs is happening and everyone is invited.
Besides the community showcase, cosplayers will be able to participate in the cosplay exhibition. It is a for-fun showcase of cosplay that features any character from Blizzard universes and is open to everyone. The online nature of the events put a spin on this showcase as well since pet cosplay will be accepted as well.
Blizzard warned all participants about health risks and asked them to consider the danger of grouping up with other individuals for the potential photo shooting in costumes.
Deadlines for showcase registration is January 4, 2020.
