Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and Tekken publisher Bandai Namco have officially announced a big Summer Showcase, where they plan to reveal their new titles and updates for existing games. The Japanese publisher confirmed that their show will air on July 1, 2023, at 4:30 PM PT / 07:30 PM ET / 01:30 AM CET.
The show will be part of the Anime Expo and the publisher promise "exciting announcements and game reveals". Other than that, the details are pretty scarce but you can tune in to watch the show on Bandai Namco's YouTube channel for big reveals.
The fans seem to have only one game on their lips and that is Dragon Ball: Budokai Tenkaichi 4, which is one of the biggest upcoming games from Bandai Namco. It's possible we also see more of From Software's upcoming title Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, which is published by Bandai.
On top of this, updates for the anime MMO Blue Protocol also seem like a safe bet. Our personal wish for the showcase would be Ace Combat 8 and judging by the reaction on social media, many other fans are also hoping to see at least something related to the Ace Combat series.
All in all, we are super excited to see what Bandai Namco have in store for us this year in terms of new titles but also updates for games that we're playing right now.
In case you're unfamiliar with Bandai Namco, they are one of the biggest video game companies in Japan and regularly release titles for both the Japanese and Western markets. Some of their notable franchises include Tekken, Soulcalibur, Scarlet Nexus and the Dragon Ball series.
