Riot Games revealed Valorant's newest agent in full, days before the official Episode 7 release on June 27, 2023.
Deadlock hails from Norway and her role will mostly be to immobilize or otherwise inconvenience the enemy team's movement.
As a Sentinel, she will provide intel on enemy positions, although indirectly.
Deadlock abilities
GravNet is the operator's ability that is slotted to C by default and it is a grenade. Throwing it will cause detonation which causes affected enemies to crouch and move slowly, making it a great tool for pushing.
Sonic Sensor (Q) can be deployed on any area and it will sound off whenever it detects footsteps, weapons fire or other significant noises. Area around it gets concussed at that point.
Barrier Mesh (E) equips a disc which sticks to ground surfaces and projects four barriers that block character movement. It is destructible.
Nanowire Accelerator is Deadlock's ultimate. It unleashes a pulse that will capture the first enemy it comes in contact with and start pulling it away. If the cocooned enemy reaches the end of the line, they will die and the only way out is for a teammate or a gadget to destroy the cocoon along the way.
As such, the ultimate will probably have a lethality rate of 100 per cent in one on one situations while it could expose teammates who are in a good spot otherwise.
Considering that the barrier will block movement until destroyed, it will provide valuable intel on enemy team positions when they shoot it down, which makes it perfect to work in tandem with Sonic Sensor.
