Pearl Abyss have released the full PC system requirements for Crimson Desert, and it's safe to say that for a game that has repeatedly left jaws on the floor in every trailer and gameplay showcase, the specs are remarkably accessible.
The developer have broken things down across five tiers, from Minimum all the way up to Ultra, giving players a clear picture of what to expect at each level of hardware.
To get the game running at all, you'll need an AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 paired with an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel i5-8500. That'll get you upscaled 1080p at 30 FPS. Step up to Low with an RX 6500 XT or GTX 1660 and the same CPU, and you're looking at a native 1080p 30 FPS experience.
The sweet spot targets 1080p 60 FPS or 4K 30 FPS, and asks for an RX 6700 XT or RTX 2080 alongside a Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel i5-11600K. That's a very reasonable bar for a mid-range machine a couple of years old.
Hitting 1440p 60 FPS requires an RX 7700 XT or RTX 4070 with a Ryzen 5 7600X or i5-12600K. For the full 4K 60 FPS Ultra experience, Pearl Abyss are asking for an RX 9070 XT or RTX 5070 Ti, paired with a Ryzen 7 7700X or i5-13600K.
Across all tiers, RAM sits at a flat 16 GB, Windows 10 64-bit 22H2 or newer is required, storage comes in at 150 GB SSD, and DirectX 12 is mandatory throughout.
The one thing worth flagging is the storage requirement. 150 GB is a hefty chunk, so if your SSD is looking a little tight, now's the time to have a clear-out. Given the sheer visual ambition of the game, it's not exactly a shock, but it's worth bearing in mind.
On the whole though, these are far kinder specs than many were expecting from one of the year's most visually ambitious releases. If you've been quietly worried your PC might not cut it, you can probably breathe easy.
