Bandai Namco has cause for celebration with Blue Protocol as the game is showing extremely promising results ahead of the larger launch.

Bandai Namco launched Blue Protocol on June 14, 2023, in Japan and in the short span of just under two weeks since then, the game has attracted over 600,000 players.

This translated into a record concurrent player count of over 200,000 people, which is pretty successful even when you are looking through the lens of a global release.

However, the kicker is that the game was only released in a relatively small region so far as Amazon Games aim for bigger targets.

Japan is not exactly known for a large PC player base and one would expect an MMO to be most attractive to that particular part of the gaming population.

With the numbers mentioned above, Blue Protocol has managed to break Bandai Namco Online's all-time records as the most successful game to date, even without focusing on what is presumed to be the biggest player base around.

On top of that, the Western launch is expected at some point in 2024, at which point the game will become available to some of the biggest gaming audiences in the world through North America and Europe.

Amazon Game Studios will be handling publishing in the West and by the looks of it, the game will follow a trajectory similar to Lost Ark, which has also found significant success with audiences across the old and new world.
