Baldur's Gate 3 is the biggest undertaking Larian ever had on their plate and that is no small feat, considering this studio has Divinity Original Sin and Divinity Original Sin 2 under their belt.
Considering that the game will take up more than 150 GB of your hard drive space, it is only fair to get a ton of content in return, right?
That's exactly what you will get throughout the three acts of the game.
Early Access version of BG3 only has the first act but the devs have confirmed the game will have three in total. That said, it is unclear whether the first act is actually a third of the game since there are no rules that say all acts should be equal in size.
After all, some CRPGs tend to even introduce a completely new genre through a minigame in different acts so there is no telling what BG might pull off.
That said, the developers did estimate a single playthrough will take from 80 to 100 hours, depending on how deep you get into it. With the number of possibilities with different characters and choices, it will likely be a fairly frequent occurrence that people go for more than one run, offering a great bang for the buck.
Summa summarum, Baldur's Gate 3 has three acts and it takes close to 100 hours to beat it.
