Larian Studios go out of their way to give players creative ways to deal with enemies in their games and Baldur's Gate 3 will not be an exception.
Besides having a huge selection of classes and subclasses at launch, the team made sure each of them is bespoke, with the latest short video about Necromancers being the best indicator.
Namely, we get to see one being followed by not one, not two or not even five undead minions. There are nine of them.
You can check out the new short via TikTok which shows the Wizard subclass hanging out with her numerous undead pals, who we can assume will be a force to be reckoned with in any fight.
Necromancers in modern RPGs tend to be somewhat lacklustre, with just a couple of minions around, probably due to creativity and resource constraints but Larian folks are having none of it.
There is currently no indication what the maximum number of minions that a Necromancer can control at one time will be but we sure hope it will be even more.
Swarming enemies in a sea of undead monstrosities always has a way of bringing a smile to one's face, just ask Necros from the original Guild Wars. Back in the day, there was no limit on how many you could control, just saying.
