Scouting Towers reveal nearby points of interest across Vale Sangora, but reaching them requires Coen to use his Vampire abilities. Here's how to find and clear Scouting Towers, and reveal new locations on your map.

Scattered across Vale Sangora are Scouting Towers, marked on the map with a tower icon and a Moon symbol. They can only be cleared at Night, as Coen needs to be in Vampire form to reach the top using his Vrakhir abilities.

If you've played Assassin's Creed, the idea will feel familiar: reach a high vantage point, scout the surrounding area, and reveal new locations on your map. In The Blood of Dawnwalker though, reaching the viewpoint is a short Vampire parkour challenge that puts Coen's abilities to work.

What Scouting Towers Do

Reaching the top of a Scouting Tower lets Coen survey the surrounding area, revealing nearby Points of Interest. You'll be able to spot locations in the distance and Investigate them from afar, while Coen will also make a few comments about what he's seeing.

Once you've finished scouting, additional Points of Interest will appear on your map as question marks, giving you new locations to visit and explore.

Reaching the Top

The climb is built around Coen's Vrakhir abilities, with Planeshift and Shadowstep doing most of the work:

  • Planeshift lets Coen walk across flat walls and ceilings, opening up routes that would otherwise be impossible to reach. It consumes Stamina, so keep an eye on your meter during longer traversals.
  • Shadowstep is useful for crossing larger gaps and reaching distant platforms. Hold Q, aim where you want to land, and release to teleport there.
  • Clawride is useful on the way back down, letting Coen slide down walls without consuming Stamina.

At the top, interact with the flag to begin scouting. Coen will comment on some of the locations he spots, while the Points of Interest you identify will be added to your map as ? markers.

Quick Tip: Clear Scouting Towers early when entering a new region, particularly if you plan to explore it thoroughly. Revealing nearby Points of Interest gives you a better idea of what's around you and helps you decide where to spend your limited Time.
