Sons of the Forest will not tell you how to quickly select items from your inventory, but there is a feature for that, even though it's not as convenient as the one in The Forest.
Endnight Games ' survival title Sons of the Forest is out and just like the original, it doesn't tell you anything as you crash land on the remote island and try your best to survive. You'll notice that some things have been changed when compared to The Forest including the inventory.
We were surprised to see how slow and inconvenient is to select the items from your inventory. You have to press "I" to open the inventory and then select the item you want, which is not ideal and takes a lot of time. Luckily, there is a faster way to pick the item you need so read on as we'll reveal that in our guide below.
How to quickly select items in Sons of the Forest?
To quickly select items from your inventory, without opening the inventory, hold the "I" button. Simply pressing the "I" button will open the inventory but holding it will bring up you quick-access backpack as you can see in the screenshot above. This way, you can quickly select the item you need, without slowly opening the inventory.

So there you have it, survivors, that's how you actually get to quickly access your most important items. While the game could be doing a better job of explaining this, it's still not that hard to figure it out on your own.
