A leaked internal Microsoft document reveals that Ark 2 will be on Xbox Game Pass for three years after its launch.

Studio Wildcard's upcoming open-world survival game ARK 2 will spend a lot of time on Xbox Game Pass once it finally launches sometime next year.

According to leaked legal documents, found by YouTuber GP , Studio Wildcard and Microsoft have an agreement to keep ARK 2 on Xbox Game Pass for a period of three years after the game launches.

If ARK 2 launches next year, that would mean it will stay on Xbox Game Pass until 2026, which is certainly great news for all players who are eagerly awaiting to play this survival title.

"The agreement was initially made between the parties in November 2018 and is valid through December 31, 2021. The agreement was subsequently amended in June 2020 to extend the Ark 1 Game Pass perpetually effective January 1st, 2022, and to put Ark 2 on Game Pass for three years upon release," it's stated in the document.

Additionally, the document also mentions that Ark: Survival Evolved will not be leaving Xbox Game Pass anytime soon.

Another thing to keep in mind when it comes to these types of deals is that Microsoft and Studio Wildcard could revisit the deal after three years and agree to keep ARK 2 on Game Pass even longer.

It all depends on the player count and engagement. We doubt Studio Wildcard would remove a very successful game from Game Pass and Ark: Survival Evolved is a perfect example of that.
