How to beat Pieta, She of the Blessed Renewal
The top recommendation for this boss encounter is not to rely on blocking; instead, prioritise dodging, which will be your best ally in this fight. Think of this battle as a dance; mastering the correct steps will ensure you don't trip over your partner's foot—in other words, you'll emerge from the fight as the victor without much difficulty.
During the initial phase of the Pieta battle, expect formidable yet sluggish strikes. When she begins swinging her sword, perform a dodge move, repeating it twice and occasionally four times—your key task is to learn the pattern. Following a sequence of attacks, strike her two to three times and then back out.
Once you've depleted approximately half of Pieta's health, the second phase of the battle commences, during which Pieta sprouts wings and alters her attack patterns. In this stage, pay close attention to two crucial elements: first, when she summons her minions, and second, when they execute a manoeuvre that blankets the battlefield with swords. Observe which two out of the three paths the minions choose, and position yourself on the third path. Additionally, when the boss employs attacks such as the ray of light or the emergence of light swords from the ground, continuously execute side dodges to evade them.
Ultimately, the key is to closely shadow Pieta's movements and skillfully dodge her attacks, akin to a meticulously choreographed dance. Patience is paramount in this battle. While it may prolong the fight, if you remain persistent, victory will be within your reach.
And one final piece of advice: the helping sidekick is not that helping at all given that his presence will just confuse you further and you will not be able to focus on the boss. The best strategy is to go solo in this fight and pay very close attention to Pieta's moves and attacks.
