- How to improve your reputation?
Warhorse Studios' medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is one of the most unique video games on the market, mainly due to the game's aim to simulate as many real-life aspects as possible, including a reputation system.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 retains the reputation system from the first game but with a couple of notable improvements. The reputation system is now deeper, affecting different groups and towns which means players get more freedom in how they behave across Bohemia.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Reputation explained
Reputation affects how people treat you. If someone likes you, they'll greet you kindly, and merchants may even give you discounts. On the other hand, if they hate you, they may not even talk to you.
You can improve your reputation by completing tasks (more on that below). But you can also make it worse if you commit crimes or lie.
The way you behave spreads among people, so if you help or hurt one person, others in the area will soon hear about it.
How to improve your reputation in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?
Paying an indulgence or going on a Pilgrimage
The easiest and quickest way to improve your bad reputation is to pay an indulgence or do a Penitent pilgrimage. Both can be done by talking to a priest who can be found in towns with churches, obviously.
Completing Quests and Activities
One of the key ways you can improve your reputation in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is to complete quests. Help out the townsfolk across Bohemia - get rid of the wolves slaughtering their sheep, make potions for their sickly ones or help them out in their daily tasks. They will reward you with precious groschen too, so you're killing two birds with one stone.
Trading
Simply buying stuff from local merchants will increase your reputation. If you offer a couple of extra groschen on top of the asking price, that will bring an additional increase to your reputation with the townsfolk. However, a failed haggling attempt will decrease your reputation so be vary when trying to lower that price.
Being nice in conversations
It turns out that not being a douch helps a lot in building your reputation in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Simply being nice to people while you're talking to them will increase your reputation. Some successful persuasion attempts will increase your reputation too, just make sure you're not threatening people with violence.
Returning to quest givers
Interestingly, if you return to some quest givers and talk to them after getting the "Quest Completed" notification, you can improve your reputation. One of the examples of this would be to return to Bozhena, a herbalist from the beginning of the game, and pay back the 150 groschen she gave you. This is also true with other quests in the game so we recommend you re-visit some NPCs after a couple of days.
