Travelling on foot simply isn't an option in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 due to the vastness of the world; hence, getting a horse should be one of the first priorities. Here is how to get it early in the game.

The world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the latest RPG from Warhorse Studios, is a huge one with so much to discover and many places to visit that doing this simply on foot would be an exhausting endeavour. That's why the people from mediaeval times used horses to travel long distances.

At the beginning of the game, Henry will ride his horse, but after the events from the prologue, he will lose it, and for a great chunk of the game, you'll be forced to live without your faithful steed.

If you want to get the horse as fast as possible and also very early in the game to make your life much easier, here is how you can do it without spending a fortune on a brand new horse.

Once the prologue comes to an end and you part ways with your friend, the world will open, and you'll have the opportunity to explore it at your own leisure. Of course, due to the lack of good equipment and money, it would be wise to follow the main quests because they are tailored for your situation and the level of your character.

However, if you want to get the horse as soon as possible, start travelling to the southeast from Troskowitz (the opening town) all the way to Semine. The map will be fogged, but if you decide to speak with the innkeeper in Troskowitz, she will give you two leads to follow if you want to get inside the wedding ceremony. One of the quests will get you near this town. If you don't know where to go, check out our map below for reference.

Once you get to Semine, search for the horse trader. Now, regardless of whether you meet this trader during a mission or free roaming the world, you'll have the opportunity to get your old horse, Pebbles, from him. Keep in mind, however, that you'll need to have at least level eight in the speech ability to persuade him to give her to you for free.

If you manage to persuade him, you won't have to pay a dime for the horse, but if you fail, she will still be very affordable—just several Grochens. Once you get Pebbles back, you'll get your old equipment with her, including saddle and bridle, but if you have enough money, it is advisable to go to the nearest saddler to buy new horse equipment because it will give you more space for carrying additional items and save you from overweighting.
